So you’re thinking about some Medium-sized run coaching.
Let’s answer a few questions to see if you still think this might be a good idea.

Overall, my training philosophy is pretty simple. Roughly 80% of your running should be easy. 20% should not be easy. That 20% will vary based on the athlete, the time of year, the specific race distance, and a variety of other factors. I do believe that mileage is key to building your aerobic base, but this should always be managed carefully to avoid injury and burnout. There is no “right” mileage. I am RRCA Level 1 Coaching Certified and I’ve used a variety of popular training methods in my own running (much of my personal training is based on the Jack Daniels Running Method), but each individual responds differently to certain training stimuli. We can work together to see what kind of training brings you the most energy, gives you the most joy, and produces the best result.

Specifically, here is what I currently offer:
Personalized Training Plan using Google Sheets for general training and the Final Surge App for individual work-outs and communication
Every other week training check-in via Final Surge, text, or e-mail
Pre-race strategy session in person or virtually, usually at the start of taper
Quarterly “big picture” training meeting in person or virtually
I want this to be flexible and tailored to your specific needs, so this can be built as continuous coaching or coaching for a predetermined period of time to prepare for a specific “A” race (aka a training cycle).

No. I am a leading member of the Dallas-based Completely Slothed Running Club. Anyone who is coached by me can consider themselves part of that club, though they also need not feel obligated to do so.
Having a running community and training partners is something I have come to value immensely. If desired, I will work hard to help you find that crew, even if it means you might benefit from a different coach or no coach at all.

I want this to be a personalized experience tailored to your specific needs. Once we chat about your goals and needs we can determine what payments will look like.
